In scope: national and state trends, rolling 12-month totals, five-year trends and year-to-year volatility,
state contributions to the national change, deaths by remoteness class (2014 onward, ASGS 2021 boundaries),
deaths per billion vehicle-kilometres, and the report's methods. Out of scope: other countries, forecasts,
and causes this report doesn't model. Data refreshes with each BITRE release (currently updated manually on release).
